Telarus Serves Up AireSpring Real-time Quotes

Wednesday, May 7, 2008

Telarus has become the first master agency to fully implement the new AireSpring API for real-time quotes. The API enables Telarus agents direct access to AireSpring's broad range of carriers, products and prices through Telarus’ GeoQuote system. The AireSpring API integration has significantly enriched the tools available to Telarus agents, says the company.

Through the real-time API "handshake", Telarus agents are able to see the pricing and commission associated with most AireSpring products, including data T1, data DS3, local T1 and PRI, long distance T1 and PRI, and SIP voice service.

“With continued integration," says Lance Akins, Telarus VP Sales, "Telarus agents have an expanding real-time window into the pricing and commission world of all AireSpring products, allowing us to be first in the door with our sales prospects. The quick turn around time leaves a tremendous impression on our clients.”

"We've been using the AireSpring API for a few months now for most AireSpring data and voice products,” said Andrew Morgan, Telarus VP of Web Development. “In our back office we show the agent the different rates and what commission percentages they will earn based on the data passed to us through AireSpring. This has allowed our agents to shorten the sales cycle from a few days to a few minutes - greatly reducing the workload on our sales support staff."

"AireSpring asked us what we, as a master agent, wanted to see in an API. They produced a very elegant and reliable XML-based system that was very easy to integrate with our GeoQuote technology. The impact it has made on our sales is measurable and significant," said Adam Edwards, president of Telarus.

"We have had a robust, Web-based quoting tool for our agents for quite some time, which we call QuoteSpring,” explained AireSpring COO Daniel Lonstein. “It quotes the lowest rates for our agents across our many carriers. However, many master agents wish to roll quotes into their own front end web applications. Therefore, we developed an XML based API to serve those needs."
